StayFi's Pre-Arrival Messaging lets you share your HomePage with guests before they check in. Including links to your HostCo, Viator, or other stores you may have can boost upselling conversion by up to 3X. Providing essential information in advance also helps reduce questions and enhances the guest experience.
The solutions available may vary depending on the PMS you use and have connected to StayFi. Check the list below to see which solutions are available for your PMS and follow the corresponding instructions.

Set up in StayFi
Available for: Guesty, Hostaway, Hostfully, Hostify, IGMS, Lodgify, and Tokeet.
Set up your message in StayFi and choose how many days in advance you want it to be sent. We will automatically deliver the message to your guests through your PMS unified inbox at the specified time.
1. Navigate to the Pre Arrival Messaging tab on the left side menu
2. Customize your message template
You can use StayFi's default message or customize it to suit your preferences. Be sure to include the HomePage URL in your message to share store links and property information. Use the %%HOMEPAGEURL%% dynamic link, which will be automatically replaced with the correct link for each property when the message is sent.
💡 Tip: To maximize your open rate, include specific details about the upsells you offer. For example, if you provide options like early check-in, late check-out, private chef services, or tickets to local activities, be sure to mention these in your message.
3. Select the trigger
Select the number of days before arrival when you would like the message to be sent. If a reservation is made fewer days in advance than the selected number, the message will be sent within the first 24 hours after booking.
🕒 At what time will the message be sent?
We will send the message the specified number of days before, at the time of check-in for that booking.
If a booking is made less than the specified number of days in advance, the message will be sent at check-in time on the day of booking (if the check-in time hasn’t passed yet) or on the following day.
For bookings made less than 24 hours in advance, the message will be sent immediately.
4. (OPTIONAL) Customize or disable messaging for a specific property
You can either customize the message for a specific property or turn off the feature for that property.
Scroll down to the properties table and use the toggle to disable automatic messaging for the property, or click the Edit icon to personalize the message specifically for a property.
5. Activate automatic messaging
Toggle the switch below the message template to start automatically sending messages to your guests on the specified days before their arrival. Ensure you have finished customizing your message and are satisfied with the result before activating the toggle.

For some PMSs, we sync a dynamic field with the HomePage URL for each property, allowing you to set up your messages directly in your unified inbox.
1. Navigate to the Pre Arrival Messaging tab on the left side menu
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to locate the dynamic field in your PMS and set up automatic messages.
3. Ensure All StayFi Properties Are Connected to Your PMS
Check the properties table below the instructions to confirm that all properties are connected to your PMS. Sending automatic messages for properties that are not connected will result in non-functional links being sent to your guests.
Manual messaging
Available for: all StayFi customers.
You can set up a message in StayFi with each property's HomePage URL and easily copy it to share manually through your preferred method—whether it's PMS messaging, email, text, OTA messaging, etc.
1. Navigate to the Pre Arrival Messaging tab on the left side menu

3. [OPTIONAL] Customize the message for a specific property
You can either customize the message for a specific property. Scroll down to the properties table and click on the Edit icon to personalize the message for that property.
4. Copy the message and send it through your preferred channel
Copy the message for a specific property clicking on the copy icon on the properties table. This message will contain the specific HomePage url for that property.
Send the message to your guests before check-in through your PMS inbox, OTA messaging service, email, text or your preferred messaging service. We recommend sharing your HomePage 7 days before check-in to maximize upselling potential.
