How can I pause or deactivate my service?

This article will assist you with pausing or deactivating your StayFi service.

StayFi's service can be used on a month to month basis, but is designed with the flexibility to be used as needed. We give customers the option to deactivate or activate their devices based on seasonal needs or inactive months. You can deactivate one device or multiple devices at a time, depending on your needs.

You can follow the steps below to pause or deactivate your monthly billing.

  1. First, log into your StayFi account and click on the the Access Points tab on the left of the page.
  2. From here you can click the three dots next to the access point and click unassign.

3. The access point will appear at the top of the page under the list of Unassigned Access Points.
4. From here, you can deactivate the access point and this will stop the monthly service.

StayFi bills in arrears, meaning that the customer is billed for the services received after the services have been provided, rather than in advance. With this policy, the customer receives the service first and is then billed for the service provided, in our case every month on the 1st of the month. Once you pause or deactivate your device, you will receive one last invoice on the 1st of the following month and then going forward, you won't be billed any further.

NOTE: It is also advised to power off the access point by unplugging it.
