How to Allow Guests to Cast from their Devices to Smart Devices in Your Home Like Sonos Speakers, Chromecast, Apple TV and other Devices
StayFi automatically allows guests to cast to all smart devices connected to your property’s WiFi network, such as Sonos, Chromecast, Apple TV, and any other smart TV, speaker, or device.
Do I need to connect my smart devices to the StayFi guest network for casting to work?
No. When guests connect the the StayFi network, they will be able to cast to all devices at your property that are already connected to the existing WiFi network. You do not need to connect smart devices to the StayFi guest network to make casting work for guests. And you do not need to modify any of the settings on your smart devices. Just make sure you connect your StayFi Access Point to the same router to which your smart devices are connected. Casting will also work from additional Access Points wirelessly connected in a mesh network.
If you do want to connect your smart devices to your StayFi network instead of the main router's WiFi network, this is also possible. StayFi's SmartConnect technology detects smart home devices like TVs, speakers, baby monitors, gaming consoles, and locks, and automatically authorizes them to bypass the Splash Page and connect to the Guest network. Alternatively, you can connect your devices to the Admin network using the password.
