How can I connect devices that can't display a Splash Page?

I want to connect a smart device that cannot display a Splash Page—such as a TV, a speaker, a baby monitor, a thermostat or a smart lock. How can I do this?

Automatically connecting devices with SmartConnect

StayFi's SmartConnect technology detects smart home devices like TVs, speakers, baby monitors, gaming consoles, and locks, and automatically authorizes them to bypass the Splash Page and connect to the Guest Network.

Note: cameras, microphones, and other recording devices will not be automatically allowed to connect.

What do I do if my device is not automatically connected?

If your device did not automatically connect to StayFi's WiFi network, you can manually authorize it from your StayFi dashboard by following these steps:

  1. Log into your StayFi account and navigate to the Connected Devices tab on the left menu.
  2. Find the device you are trying to connect. It should show a status of 'Pending' and an 'Authorize' button at the end of the row.
  3. Click on 'Authorize'. In the dropdown, select 'Forever' (recommended for your home devices) or a fixed period of time (recommended for your guests' devices).
